Trump stressed that the United States would get Iranian "nuclear dust" within the framework of possible negotiations, noting that there are "very rational" people among the officials who Washington is dealing with them regarding the Iranian file, while others were described as "not so". The US president expressed his hope that "Iran will be smart," explaining that Tehran can contact Washington if it wants to hold talks, and pointed to the destructive results of US policies towards both Iran and Venezuela. Trump criticized NATO's position, saying that the alliance “did not stand by us on Iran", expressing his dissatisfaction with this situation. In a separate context, Trump touched on the shooting incident that took place on Saturday evening during the White House correspondents' dinner in his presence, describing the shooter as a“ sick person ” and that his family was aware of his problems. Trump reassured the public that the shooter was stopped and was unable to approach the auditorium, stressing that the incident highlights the urgent need to establish a new hall in the White House Due to the difficulty of securing the current location of the Correspondents' Gala Dinner.
