The US Central Command announced the arrival of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush to the Middle East, bringing the total number of US aircraft carriers operating in the region to three. The move comes within the framework of strengthening the US military presence in strategic territorial waters.
US Army Central Command (CENTCOM) revealed the arrival of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush to the Middle East, bringing the total number of US carriers operating in this vital region to three. Centcom explained through the social media platform "X" that the carrier was sailing in the Indian Ocean within the geographical scope of the responsibilities of the Central Command on April 23, accompanied by a photo documenting the deck of the carrier filled with various warplanes. This new carrier joins the aircraft carriers USS Gerald Ford, which is currently operating in the waters of the Red Sea, and USS Abraham Lincoln, which is also deployed in the region, according to the Central Command's social media posts. It is worth mentioning that the carrier USS Gerald Ford planes headed to Croatia several weeks ago to carry out necessary repairs and maintenance, after a fire broke out on board on March 12, before they were deployed in the region again.
